Severe storms/damaging winds possible Thursday

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Champaign-Urbana and surrounding portions of central Illinois for *tomorrow*, Thursday. Current thinking is that intense thunderstorms will develop over Minnesota and Iowa overnight, and push into central Illinois during the day on Thursday. These storms would likely take the form of a fast-moving bow or line, capable of producing damaging winds as they move through the area. Exact timing is extremely unclear right now, as it is dependent on where and when storms develop tonight, and how quickly they move across Iowa and Minnesota and into Illinois. My best *GUESS* right now, is that we see this cluster of storms moving into the CU area between 12 PM and 6 PM.

Additional storms are also possible as early as tonight in the CU area, but the primary severe weather threat will be on Thursday afternoon.
