Illinois Marathon looking rainy for second straight year...

I wish I had better news for those participating in the Illinois Marathon this weekend. The forecast for the Friday evening 5K looks wonderful - with partly sunny skies, low humidity, and temperatures in the middle 60s. Saturday, a major storm system moves into the area with widespread showers and thunderstorms likely beginning late Friday night and lasting into Saturday afternoon. While the jury is still out on if/when we will see lightning in the area, I see very little chance that the event remains dry on Saturday.
